Nagpur Film Festival Rules and Regulations

Eligibility Criteria:

1.⁠ ⁠Films must be original.

2.⁠ ⁠Awarded films of the Chitrabharati Film Festival will not be considered for this festival.

3.⁠ ⁠Films must adhere to the specified time limits.

Film Categories and Time Limits:

Professional Category

  • 1.⁠ ⁠Short Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

  • 2.⁠ ⁠Documentary: up to 60 minute

  • 3. Animation Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

  • 4. Children’s Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

  • 5. Reel/Vertical Film: 15 seconds to 90 seconds

Amateur Categories and Time Limits:

  • Short Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

  • ⁠Documentary: up to 60 minutes

  • Animation Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

  • Children’s Film: 1 minute to 30 minutes

Film Submission Process:

  1. Films can be submitted online.

  2. Submit your film with a Google Drive link, ensuring you have due permission to share the content.

  3. Required documents and information must be provided at the time of submission, including:

  • - Film title

  • - Director’s name

  • - Duration

  • - Category

  • - Synopsis (not exceeding 100 words)

  • - Proof of student status (for Campus Category)

  • - The last date for film submission is 20th Feb 2026

Selection Process:

  1. ⁠Films will be selected by a jury.

  2. The jury's decision will be final.

  3. Award-winning films will be announced during the festival.

Additional Rules:

  1. The responsibility of authenticity and ownership of material used in the films lies with the producer.

  2. The festival organisers reserve the right to make final decisions regarding film selection and screening.

Rights Grant: By submitting your film to the Nagpur Film Festival, you grant non-exclusive screening rights to:

•⁠ ⁠Related film festivals

•⁠ ⁠Screenings and workshops organised by Nagpur Chalchitra Foundation.

This grant allows the festival to showcase your film in various settings, promoting your work to a wider audience.
